Terms of Service

We’re here to make your life easier, not more complicated. Here’s how we keep things fair, simple, and clear. By booking a service with Scoop Bandit, you agree to the following terms:

Our Services

All scoop sessions are contactless. We thoroughly clean your yard of pet waste, bag it up, and dispose of it in your outdoor bin. You’ll receive a text when we’re on the way, when we arrive, and when your yard is officially poop-free.

You don’t need to be home — just make sure:

  • Your dogs are indoors
  • The yard is accessible (gate unlocked or we have a key/code)
  • Scheduled Service Days:
    • For recurring services, we currently don’t offer the option to pick specific service days. This approach allows us to create optimized routes across Toronto, which is key to maintaining our competitive rates and reliable service for everyone.
    • If a particular day is essential for your service, please let us know, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request whenever possible.
    • Your dedicated service slot will be confirmed upon sign-up.

Pricing & Yard Size

To ensure fair and efficient service for all our clients, please note the following regarding our pricing:

  • Initial Cleanup Fee: If your yard hasn’t been scooped in three weeks or more, a one-time Initial Cleanup Fee of $35 will apply. This fee ensures we give your yard a thorough deep clean, bringing it to a maintainable state before your regular subscription service begins.
  • Yard Size for All Services: The prices listed for all our services (including recurring monthly plans, one-time cleanups, and seasonal services) are applicable for average-sized residential backyards, roughly up to the approximate size of a standard volleyball court. If your property is significantly larger than this, please contact us for a custom quote tailored to your unique yard.

Choosing Your Scoop

We design our services for regular maintenance to keep your yard consistently clean. If you’re a new client, or if your yard has significant accumulation, please note the Initial Cleanup Fee detailed in the “Pricing & Yard Size” section above. Our regular recurring services are built for maintenance, not deep cleanups.

If your yard has been…neglected (no judgment 🤠), and the first cleanup will take 30+ minutes, we recommend booking an Initial Clean-Up before switching to weekly or bi-weekly patrols.

💡 Note: Scoop Bandits don’t spend more than 30 minutes per visit unless it’s a one-time cleanup. Regular services are built for maintenance, not deep cleanups.

💳 Payments

Scoop Bandit operates on a monthly subscription model for recurring services.

  • Monthly Billing: Your invoice for the upcoming monthly service period will be issued on the 1st of each month. Payment is due by the 7th of the month, covering that month’s service.
  • Late Payments: Payment for monthly recurring services is due on the 1st of each month. A $15 late fee will be applied to any accounts with an outstanding balance 7 days after the due date (i.e., by the 8th of the month). If payment has not been successfully processed within 7 days of the due date, all future services will be automatically paused until the balance is cleared.
  • Declined Payments: If a scheduled payment is declined, we will notify you immediately. Services will be paused if payment isn’t successfully processed within 7 days of the due date. If more than 3 weeks have passed since your last cleanup due to non-payment, an Initial Cleanup Fee may apply to resume regular service.
  • Service Start & Prorated Billing: If you begin recurring service at any point during a calendar month, your initial payment will be a prorated amount covering the remaining days until the 1st of the following month. This prorated charge will be billed immediately upon your first service visit. Your regular monthly billing will then commence on the 1st of the next full calendar month.
  • Invoicing: Invoices are sent via Jobber (email and text) at the beginning of each billing cycle.
  • One-Time Cleanups: Billing occurs after the service is completed, and payment is due within 24 hours.
  • Payment Options: Payments can be made securely online using credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) or debit card, or via e-Transfer (handled separately).
  • Service Pauses (Customer Request): Services can be paused for up to 30 days upon customer request. If service does not resume after this period, your account may be removed from our regular schedule.

Storing Payment Information

For your convenience, you can choose to securely store your credit card information on file for future payments.

All payments are handled through Jobber, a platform trusted by thousands of service-based businesses across North America. Jobber uses Stripe — a world-leading payment processor — to handle your payment securely.

When you save your card:

  • Your information is encrypted, which means it’s scrambled and unreadable to anyone except the secure system processing it.
  • We don’t see your full card number — just the last 4 digits.
  • Your payment details are never stored on our devices or shared with anyone.
  • You’ll be offered the option to save your card when you pay an invoice.
  • You can also log into Jobber at any time to update or remove your card.

💡 Bottom line: Your payment is protected with the same level of security used by major banks and online retailers.

🌧️ Weather Policy

If we can’t scoop due to extreme weather, we will make every effort to reschedule for another service date within the same week, or as soon as weather conditions allow. We will notify you of any changes.

Please note that your monthly subscription fee remains consistent during such instances, as it covers your access to regular service rather than individual visits.

🚪 Inaccessible Yards

If your gate is locked, your dogs are outside, or we’re unable to enter safely, we’ll skip that day’s service. We’ll attempt service again on your next regularly scheduled visit.

Please note that your monthly subscription fee remains consistent during such instances, as it covers your access to regular service rather than individual visits.

🌱 Yard Conditions

We do our best in all conditions, but tall grass, leaves, or snow can hide poop. If visibility is poor, we may not catch every pile — but we’ll make up for it the next visit when conditions are better.

📆 Cancellations & Rescheduling

(Customer-Initiated)

Need to cancel or reschedule a scoop?

  • Please give us at least 24 hours’ notice
  • We can always reschedule if needed to another available time.
  • Please note: Since your monthly subscription secures your dedicated service slot and covers consistent cleanups each month, individual skipped services do not typically result in a refund or credit. The monthly fee remains consistent for billing predictability.

🚫 Refusal of Service

We reserve the right to refuse service under the following conditions:

  • Unsafe Environment: If there is any risk to the safety of our staff, such as aggressive dogs or hazardous conditions in your yard.
  • Communication Barriers: If there are repeated issues with communication that make it difficult for us to perform the service effectively.
  • Payment Overdue: If payment is overdue and has not been settled, services will be paused until payment is made.

🔐 Privacy

We collect names, addresses, and contact info for scheduling and billing only. Your information is never shared, sold, or used for anything shady.

All payments are securely processed through Jobber, a trusted platform widely used by service-based businesses, which uses Stripe — a PCI-compliant payment processor that ensures your data is encrypted and protected. We will never have access to your full credit card information.

If you have any questions about how your information is handled, feel free to contact us directly.
